The Museum of Bad Art. Located in several places in Massachussets, this museum is privately owned and it has a goal to show that the work of each artist is respected. The museum’s official page says that they show the art which is too bad to be ignored. Very often the museum doesn`t accept some pieces of art only because they are not bad enough. One of the most famous pictures in the museum is ‘Lucy in the Field with Flowers’ (oil on canvas by Unknown; acquired from trash in Boston).
The Museum of Broken Relationships. This interesting place is located in Zagreb, Croatia and dedicated to failed relationships. Exhibiton includes personal objects left from former lovers. It was found by two Croatian artists which had realtions and then they came to an end in 2003. They started to ask their friends to donate objects left from their break-ups. Segments of the museum include Material remain layout (photographs, letters, messages etc.); Virtual web museum and Confessional (vistiors can leave their own objects).
Avanos Hair Museum displays thousands of locks of hair, all from female visitors. Museum is located in Avanos, Turkey. It now holds 16.000 samples of hair and it is included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Funeral Museum. It is one of the weirdest museums in Vienna, Austria. There are around 1000 exhibts. It gives the overview of funeral customs, burial rites, funerary art.
Museum of Death is located in Hollywood, Los Angeles and in New Orleans. The goal of this place is to make people happy to be alive. The museum displays the variety of art and artifacts surrounding the subject of death. The most notable item at the museum is the head of Henri Landru (a French serial killer).
Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum. This museum is dedicated to instant noodles and it is located in Osaka (Japan). Visitors can make their own instant noodles. There is also a noodle factory where visitors can assemble their own personal Cup Noodles from pre-made ingredients for a small fee of 300 yen.
Museum of Witchcraft and Magic is located in Cornwall, the UK and dedicated to European witchcraft and magic. Its exhibts are devoted to folc magic, ceremonical magicith its collection of such objects having been described as the largest in the world.
Museum of Vampires and Legendary Creatures in Paris, France is located just 2.4 km away from the Pere Lachaise cemetery. Jacques Sirgent, a scholar of the macabre, founded the museum as a place to collect his research into vampirism and esoterism. The museum exhibition tells the cryptic history of Paris.
International Cryptozoology Museum. Cryptozoology studies ‘the study of hidden animals’, it invloves the search of animals whose existence nas not been verified (for exampke, Yeti or Bigfoot). The collection of the museum which is located in Portland, the USA, incudes different artifacts related to these types of mythical, unverified creatures.
Meguro Parasitological Museum. Museum is located in Tokyo, Japan. It is devoted to parasites, the science of parasitology. Museum provides an educational overview of the diversity of parasites in the natural world and their life cycles.
