John Collison is an Irish billionaire entrepreneur known for having co-founded with his brother a payment company Stripe that allows individuals and businesses to make and receive payments online. John and his brother founded the company in 2010 while they were students. Currently the company values at over $20 billion.

Jack Cator was only 16 years old when he created the private service called ‘Hide My Ass’ (currently – ‘HMA VPN’). He just wanted to circumvent restrictions his school had on accessing games or music from their network. By 2015 HMA became one of the largest VPN providers in the UK. Now Jack is 26 years old and his fortune is estimated $64.81 million dollars.

Josh Durham. According to Forbes this young man (25 y.o.) is a cofounder of the company ‘Weighting Comforts’, weighted blanket that naturally increases serotonin in the body. Each blanket is hand-sewn by refugees in Nashville, Tennessee. They are on track to generate $8 million in revenue in 2018. This is an example of how you can make money in the social sphere while doing good deeds.

Evan Spiegel is 29 years old and he is an American-French businessman, co-founder and the CEO of the American company Snap (currently known as Snapchat). Snap Inc. was found by him and hist friend when they were students at Stanford University. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available for a short time before they become inaccessible to their recipients. By the end of 2012, Spiegel’s Snapchat app had reached 1 million daily active users. Spiegel was named the youngest billionaire in the world in 2015.

Pete Cashmore is 34 years old now though he was recognized by Forbes when he was under 30. In 2005 Pete launched the online news site Mashable from the bedroom of his parents’ home near Aberdeen, Scotland. Now the site has 45 million readers around the world. In 2017 it was sold to an American company Ziff Davis for 59 million dollars.

How do successful people start their business? Sometimes they have to be creative and ambitious. For example, Lukas Yla, CEO of the company ‘CityBee’, according to Forbes, is known as the man who in 2016 dressed up as a donut delivery guy to deliver his resume to agencies around San Francisco. Later he became CEO at CityBee, the Lithuanian-founded developer of car sharing service software platform.

Kunal Garg  is a cofounder of Tezted Ltd, a company that focuses on improving the diagnosis of tick-borne diseases. His company developed a first-of-its-kind diagnostic test for tick-borne diseases. This test allows patients to be tested for desease stages. Сarmen Liu has also interesting story. She launched lingerie collection for transgender women and it was sold out for the couple of days in 2019. Carolin Kunert (24 y.o.) launched quite unusual business. Knister Grill – it is urban outdoor lifestyle brand. The company sells a compact dishwasher which can be carried as a basket.
